Allow unknown sources & install
Android will ask you to enable "install from unknown sources" for your browser. Then tap the APK. The APK is signed with the Yammbo keystore (RSA 4096), verifiable with apksigner.

Grant notification access
The app takes you to Android settings to enable "Notification access" for Yammbot WA. This single permission is what replaces QR / API / scraping. Yammbot reads incoming notifications and replies through the official WhatsApp app.

Will my number get banned? +
Yammbot does not use any unofficial WhatsApp API and does not scrape the WhatsApp client. It works via Android's official Notification Listener API, reading what comes in and replying through the official app. WhatsApp's terms target circumvention of their app; this approach goes through it instead of around it. The ban risk is the same as you replying yourself: automation that respects rate limits stays under the radar.
Does it work with WA Business and the mods? +
Yes. WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business and the 5 most-used mods: GBWhatsApp, OGWhatsApp, Aero, AeroLla and YOWhatsApp. Detection is automatic: the app recognizes which client you have installed. In Business you can also use labels as triggers.
Which AI providers can I use? +
Gemini and ChatGPT as native providers (bring your API key). Plus Custom AI with Groq, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Mistral, xAI Grok, Together, Anthropic Claude (compat) or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. AI calls go from your phone directly to the provider. Yammbo never sees the content. Some providers offer free tiers (Groq Llama 3.3 70B, OpenRouter Llama 3.3).
How many numbers can I automate? +
One Android device = one WhatsApp instance per package (WA, WA Business, GBWhatsApp, etc. are separate packages). To automate 2 separate numbers you need 2 phones, or one phone with WA + WA Business in parallel. Some mods support dual-account inside the same APK.
Does it work in groups? +
Yes. You can define rules that fire only when someone mentions the bot (with @name or a keyword), or global rules for every message. Per-group config: some groups can have the bot active, others not. Useful for internal support, FAQ communities or auto-broadcast channels.
What happens if my phone runs out of battery? +
The bot stops replying until power and connectivity return. When the phone is back online, the messages queued in the Android notification system are processed automatically. For high traffic we recommend a dedicated Android always plugged in.
How do I pause the bot when I want to take over? +
Three options: (1) global ON/OFF toggle in the top-right, turns everything off. (2) Pause the bot just for a specific contact (24h or custom). (3) If the customer types "human", "person" or any word you define, the bot pauses that conversation automatically.
How is my data handled? +
Messages never go through our servers. They stay on your phone. The only exception is when a rule uses AI: that single message goes to the provider you chose (Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, etc.) under that provider's terms. You decide. We never upload your rules, templates or message history.
