Allow unknown sources & install
Android will ask you to enable "install from unknown sources" for your browser. Then tap the APK. Signed with the same Yammbo keystore (RSA 4096) as every Yammbot app.

Grant notification access
The app takes you to Android settings to enable "Notification access" for Yammbot IG. This single permission is what replaces an official API. Yammbot reads incoming Instagram notifications and replies through the official app.

Everything configures on the phone: keywords, regex, templates, AI. Rules tab → tap "+" → pick a type, write the pattern and the answer.

A switch in the top-right. ON = bot replies on its own. OFF = you handle it. Test with a second account before you turn it loose.

Is this the same as Yammbot WA? +
Same engine, different app. Yammbot IG is a separate Android app (a separate APK, a separate license) that targets Instagram instead of WhatsApp. Rules, AI providers and the permission model are identical: it reads Android notifications from the Instagram app and replies through it.
Will my account get restricted? +
Yammbot IG does not use Instagram's official messaging API and does not scrape the app. It works through Android's official Notification Listener API, reading what comes in and replying through the official Instagram app, the same thing you'd do by hand, only automated.
Which AI providers can I use? +
Gemini and ChatGPT as native providers (bring your own API key). Plus Custom AI with Groq, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Mistral, xAI Grok, Together, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. AI calls go from your phone directly to the provider; Yammbo never sees the content.
Does it reply to comments or story mentions? +
No. Yammbot IG reads and replies to direct messages only, the same as it does for WhatsApp chats. Comments and story mentions are not part of what the app does today.
Is this new? Do you have Instagram customers yet? +
Yes, and we will not pretend otherwise: Yammbot IG shipped in May 2026 and has no paying customers yet. It runs the exact same engine, permission model and pricing as Yammbot WA, which has been live for longer. If you want the most-proven channel, start there; if Instagram is where your DMs pile up, this is the same bot pointed at it.
Do I need a Business or Creator account? +
No. Yammbot IG works through Android's notification system, the same one every Instagram account uses regardless of account type. There is no OAuth step and no account switch required.
How is my data handled? +
Messages never go through our servers: they stay on your phone. The only exception is when a rule uses AI: that single message goes to the provider you chose (Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, etc.) under that provider's terms. We never upload your rules, templates or message history.
